PROJECT: 2-Horse Straight-Load
Bumper Pull (project
completed 08-12-05)
Exterior
of the trailer was badly peeling and flaking from the previous poor
body work
and surfaces which were poorly prepped prior to painting. The
extent of the
damage was revealed after sandblasting was completed (see
photos below), showing
rust and holes.

Interior shots show the true extent of the damage...
notice
the daylight showing through the wall and ceiling panel seams.

Rear step boards were completely rotted...new boards were fabricated,
welded
in place and primed for painting.
after painting...
The roof was in extremely bad shape. The rusted-out roof vent
was removed and replaced
with a new one after a new hole was cut and prepped. All roof
seams needed
repair.

PROJECT: 1995 Gooseneck Stock Trailer (project completed 07-29-04)
This much-used ranch trailer needed a partial restoration due to the extreme wear at the front and the rear loading areas in order to protect the trailer and give it many more years of faithful service.
PROJECT: 1995
4-horse Bumper Pull Trailer (project
completed 07-29-04)
Exterior
of the trailer was badly rusted with spots where it had rusted right
thru.

Bumper guards were dented on both sides...
running
boards were deeply pitted and rusted thru in spots.
Interior of the trailer was in tough shape.
The
walls were deeply scarred and pitted from horses hooves.
Rust
had set in and was eating away at the metal walls.

First step was to sandblast all areas of rust & hand-sand all
metal surfaces. Areas
of rust-thru were professionally repaired with either sheetmetal
or fiberglass
backing with metal-based fill on surfaces to give a new, smooth
surface.

Next step was to apply a rust-inhibiting primer to the inside &
outside of the
trailer
since most of the trailer was taken down to bare metal.
Custom color paint which matched our customer's tow vehicle was
applied.

New plexiglass was put into windows, trims were re-fastened,
new
gravel guards were attached to trailer front and fenders,
lights
and markers re-installed.

Finished trailer...ready for customer pick-up.

Our
customer can now look forward to years of beautiful service from
her trailer.
